Inversion complexity of functions of multi-valued logic

چکیده
The minimum number of NOT gates in a logic circuit computing a Boolean function is called the inversion complexity of the function. In 1957, A. A. Markov determined the inversion complexity of every Boolean function and proved that ⌈log 2 (d(f)+ 1)⌉ NOT gates are necessary and sufficient to compute any Boolean function f (where d(f) is the maximum number of value changes from greater to smaller one over all increasing chains of tuples of variables values). This result is extended on k-valued functions computing in the paper. Thereupon one can use monotone functions " for free " like in Boolean case. It is shown that the minimal sufficient for a realization of the arbitrary k-valued logic function f number of non-monotone gates is equal to ⌈log 2 (d(f) + 1)⌉ if Post negation (function x + 1 (mod k)) is used in NOT nodes and is also equal to ⌈log k (d(f) + 1)⌉, if Lukasiewicz negation (function k − 1 − x) is used in NOT nodes. Similar extension for another classical result of A. A. Markov for the inversion complexity of system of Boolean functions to k-valued logic functions has been obtained. Let P k be the set of all functions of k-valued logic and M be the set of all functions that are monotone relative to order 0 < 1 <. .. < k − 1. We will

Analytical D’Alembert Series Solution for Multi-Layered One-Dimensional Elastic Wave Propagation with the Use of General Dirichlet Series
A general initial-boundary value problem of one-dimensional transient wave propagation in a multi-layered elastic medium due to arbitrary boundary or interface excitations (either prescribed tractions or displacements) is considered. Laplace transformation technique is utilised and the Laplace transform inversion is facilitated via an unconventional method, where the expansion of complex-valued...
متن کاملTREE AUTOMATA BASED ON COMPLETE RESIDUATED LATTICE-VALUED LOGIC: REDUCTION ALGORITHM AND DECISION PROBLEMS
In this paper, at first we define the concepts of response function and accessible states of a complete residuated lattice-valued (for simplicity we write $mathcal{L}$-valued) tree automaton with a threshold $c.$ Then, related to these concepts, we prove some lemmas and theorems that are applied in considering some decision problems such as finiteness-value and emptiness-value of recognizable t...
متن کاملA Novel Method Design Multiplexer Quaternary with CNTFET
Background and Objectives: In recent decades, due to the effect of the short channel, the use of CMOS transistors in the nanoscale has become a major concern. One option to deal with this issue is the use of nano-transistors. Methods: Using nano-transistors and multi-valued logic (MVL) can reduce the level of chips and connections and have a direct impact on power consumption. The present study...
متن کاملA New Approach to Detect Congestive Heart Failure Using Symbolic Dynamics Analysis of Electrocardiogram Signal
The aim of this study is to show that the measures derived from Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals many a time perform better than the same measures obtained from heart rate (HR) signals. A comparison was made to investigate how far the nonlinear symbolic dynamics approach helps to characterize the nonlinear properties of ECG signals and HR signals, and thereby discriminate between normal and cong...
